                            What We Believe

God is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe.
He exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and is perfect in love and holiness.
                            Matthew 28:19, 1 John 4:16, 1 Peter 1:16
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God.
We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross for our sins,
resurrection from the dead and ascension into heaven.
He is now at his Father's right hand, interceding on our behalf
and will return to earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
                            John 1:1-2 & 14, 1 John 2:2, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Philippians 2:5-11
The Holy Spirit lives within those who believe in Christ,
comforting them, teaching them and helping them to become
more like Christ in thought and action. John 14:15-17, Romans 8:9
Every person has been created in the image of God
and is therefore valuable and important to him.
God created men and women to fellowship with him,
but they chose to rebel against him.
This rebellion, or sin, separates mankind from God.
                            Romans 3:23
Salvation is a gift from God
available to those who trust in Jesus as their Savior and make him Leader of their lives.
Those who accept Jesus are to repent of sin, confess Jesus as Savior and be baptized into Him.
                            John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38
The Bible is the inspired Word of God
and therefore contains all the truth needed for salvation and living in Christ.
                            2 Timothy 3:16
The Church is the living body of Christ on earth,
composed of all who have received God's gift of salvation. The head of the church is Jesus Christ.
The church exists to be a servant of God to its surrounding community loving its neighbors and
                            helping them to know Jesus.
                            Ephesians 4:1-16
Jesus Christ will one day return to earth
to take his people to heaven, where he will reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
